Living on a golf course comes with many advantages including great views and resale values, and some disadvantages including stray golf balls and noisy golfers in your back yard, to name a few. When it's time to sell, it's absolutely critical to have a listing agent who TRULY understands what it means to live on a golf course.
During my 20 year career as a PGA Golf Professional, I managed public, semi-private, and private Clubs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. I've also lived on several golf courses, and have managed both sides of the issues that arise from such. Since most Realtors have little to no knowledge of living on a course (and certainly none in managing a golf course), they simply cannot effectively promote and sell golf course homes (I've actually had other agents ask me what it means when a client says they "live on hole #x". Crazy!)
And don't let the "big guys" fool you into thinking they have some advantage over listing with my small team. Sure, they advertise on TV. But have you ever seen an ad for any of their clients homes on TV? Nope. They only care about marketing themselves to get more listings. It has nothing to do with selling YOUR home.
The key to marketing is promoting your home online, especially on Zillow (who dominates the market, no other real estate site is even close). Not only do we use professional photos, matterport 3d, and drones to present your home in the best light; we also spend a significant amount each month on Zillow, Realtor.com, and others to make sure your home is "featured". Not to mention that our parent company, Coldwell Banker, is by the largest in the US and allows us reach that others can't even dream of!
When it's time to sell, please do yourself a favor and at least meet with me for a free market analysis. You'll be glad you did!
